When a young Little Rock, Arkansas woman discloses that she’s been the victim of a terrible crime, she disappears shortly thereafter. Several years later, the discovery of her hidden remains amplifies the unanswered questions her loved ones have been left to struggle with in this episode of Last Seen Alive.
I’ve definitely heard of scenarios before where people have climbed / crawled into strange places under the influence of mind-altering substances. However, the primary difficulty with that scenario (in my opinion) in this case is that I doubt Ebby would’ve been physically capable of lifting the manhole lid to access the ladder leading down to the drainpipe. As best I can tell from my research, those lids usually weigh anywhere from 90-250 lbs, making them difficult to lift due to their weight, and due to lack of a natural grip or handle. Ebby was a very petite young woman and probably couldn’t have lifted that much weight, even in an easier form. Plus, someone else would’ve had to have replaced the manhole cover after she went in.
I think she crawled into the drainpipe herself to escape someone and died there, possible accidental overdose ?
